About us

A group of MADARS members during a visit to Bletchley Park in 2025

Although there has been a long history of Maltby and District Amateur Radio Society, the Society was reformed in August 2023 having closed a number of years before, in 2019 we understand.

We meet at the Centenary Hall in Hellaby, Rotherham – find us

We are a member-centred society, and our members are at the centre of everything we do.

Our Aims are to:

  1. Share information about radio activities in and around South Yorkshire.
  2. Increase awareness of Amateur Radio as a hobby, and support and encourage people to take part.
  3. To offer support, help, advice, and information to all members of the Radio and Amateur Radio Community
