Maltby & District Amateur Radio Society is a friendly, welcoming, and very active club for anyone with an interest in amateur radio – whether you’re newly licensed, returning to the hobby, or a long‑standing operator.

We’re built on friendship, shared knowledge, and a genuine enthusiasm for radio. Members support one another in every aspect of the hobby, from setting up home stations and building antennas to exploring digital modes, contesting, and improving operating skills. There’s always someone ready to help, advise, or share their experience.

We run regular talks, demonstrations, and presentations covering a wide range of radio‑related subjects. Education and personal development are at the heart of what we do, and we actively encourage learning and progression at all levels.

Beyond the shack, we’re a sociable and adventurous club. We organise days out, special events, and practical activities that bring radio to life in the real world – building strong friendships and a real sense of community along the way.

If you’re looking for a club that is supportive, knowledgeable, and fun – where radio is enjoyed as much socially as technically – we’d be delighted to welcome you.

Membership

Membership is a very affordable £10 a month, payable by Standing Order, on the 5th of every month.
